A massive thank you to all the fan camers that upload these vids on the RUclips. I watched this march on another channel yesterday and I'm just as amazed every time I see Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band in action, regardless if I have seen the performance before or not. 18 minutes just go by so fast.
I have a hard time calling them the 'Orange Devils'. They are too much like angels to me. The one that had the prosthetic leg is so impressive and amazing to me. I didn't even know until someone pointed it out. She was out there doing her thing just like all the rest. It is like turning the pages of a good book learning about Tachibana. They continue to amaze me and inspire me. Idea-let's make them the 8th wonder of the world!
Tachibana is such an awesome band. Great talented students. They work so hard to perfect their performance. The girls holding the banners and the flags all have such wonderful beautiful smiles. This was one of the favorite bands in California during the Rose parade. If I am lucky, I hope to get a chance to see them perform when I visit Kyoto next year. Rock on Tachibana. Peace out from the USA.
Here we are wishing that we could be there in person to enjoy and cheer their performances and then we see many amongst the crowds present there totally uninterested and unaware that they have a truly world class act right at their doorstep☺️
It is strange all right. Even if you just stopped and watched them pass by it's only a couple minutes of your day and they're great. The videos of them in Pasadena are the exact opposite, the crowds can't get enough. We've been to Kyoto twice, beautiful city and wonderful people.

Go to the two recommended videos that the bottom of these replies, open one, and then click on the Diablo de Orange's name. You'll get to all his videos. (Diablo de Orange is either their father or grandfather.) There's another video from this parade where the girls ran all the way to the end, and stood there just to high five everyone in the band. These 3 girls are known to the band and at least one of them attends every performance, if they can. Watch as the band passes by. I wonder how much latitude the percussionists have. The reason I'm curious is that Tippi always threw in a couple of "glissandos" in one of the numbers. I don't hear them anymore with the new player. Perhaps that was a Tippi creation?
Could be that Tippi was playing Xylophone and this girl is on Glockenspiel. Very different sound. Or could just be what the music calls for. I remember Penguin going gliss for gliss with Tippi during the Rose Parade. ..Joe

At the 2019 Fushimi Castle Festival, the glockenspiel players put some glissandi into "Seaside Bound" and "Sing, Sing, Sing". I only saw one from the xylophone player.

Unbelievable talents. It takes a lot of musical skills and talent to play and dance at the same time. And they can still smile and act as charming. Specially the young pretty lady holding the right side lead banner. And the base drummer, the two snare drummers and the one playing the set of toms. Again they are pretty andthe best percussionists.i can only name Penguin Chan, does anybody knows the names of these ladies?

慶次郎さんの撮影テクも手伝っているのでしょうが、とにかく可愛いくて恰好いい、物凄い完成度です。演奏のブレもステップのズレも全く見当たらない。115期一押しの私ですが、贔屓目の使いようがありません。116期も117期も優秀ということでしょうが、まさに「賞より素敵なショーがある」ですね。穴が開くほど見させてもらっていますが、橘病につける薬はありません。まだまだ続きそうです。もちろん歴代も忘れずに貪ります。

お宝ですね。 アマチュアの 橘スタイル これは、デファクトスタンダード 若しくは グローバルスタンダード と言っても過言ではないでしょう。
橘スタイルの根底に流れるしっかりしたものが、他の模倣されているところとは違いますね。 ただ単にスッテップ踏んで演奏してるだけじゃないのです。そこに共鳴し追従されているのが出商では。
後、green band事務局員としての横山氏が、携わっている数校が興味深いですね。
来年のローズパレードは、オール出雲green bandが2回目の出場です。
あの ゴールド金賞精華が2005年に出場しましたが、残念ながら その評価は、普通の評価で二度目の声は掛かりません。
貴方のおっしゃる通り 世界は、橘スタイル このマーチングスタイルを認めているのです！
吹連理事長が作って顧問やってたくらいだからねぇ…
良い結果が連発しすぎるとそれはそれで……
だから先代の顧問だった田中先生までは真面目にやってたら誰だっていい演奏くらい出来るのだからコンクールで賞は目指さない（生徒が勝手に言うてるだけ……それでも生徒達は金目指し頑張ってたと思うけど）、現在の顧問の先生のお話しは外野まで聞こえてこないのでわからない。
その初代顧問で吹連理事長で特別顧問だった平松氏が今年（2021年3月）に逝去されたので、
3年生はとくにマーコンへの想いがあっただろうに……
テンポが良くって。曲の選択が良くって。音が良くって。ダンスはキレッキレ！。改めて、２０１８年のパレードを見て思った。

祝文化庁の旗を持っている二人は、いつもニコニコ…仲良しなんですね。見ているほうも、いつもパレードでは、いきなりスタートから本当に癒されます。彼女らの楽器での演奏の姿がなかなか見られないのが残念です。はっきりわかったのは、正月のローズパレード（パレード・ベネフィット座奏）のときとか、コンクールの時とかだけですかね。

①ブレーメの丘のパレードで、後方列で制服姿で参加(入部編間もない一年生)
②3000人の吹奏楽にて、後方でパーカッション担当していた。

I see a lot of new faces
I wonder how much latitude the percussionists have. The reason I'm curious is that Tippi always threw in a couple of "glissandos" in one of the numbers. I don't hear them anymore with the new player. Perhaps that was a Tippi creation?
Could be that Tippi was playing Xylophone and this girl is on Glockenspiel. Very different sound.
Or could just be what the music calls for. I remember Penguin going gliss for gliss with Tippi during the Rose Parade.

At the 2019 Fushimi Castle Festival, the glockenspiel players put some glissandi into "Seaside Bound" and "Sing, Sing, Sing". I only saw one from the xylophone player.

Unbelievable talents. It takes a lot of musical skills and talent to play and dance at the same time. And they can still smile and act as charming. Specially the young pretty lady holding the right side lead banner. And the base drummer, the two snare drummers and the one playing the set of toms. Again they are pretty andthe best percussionists.i can only name Penguin Chan, does anybody knows the names of these ladies?
